Kendriya Vidyalaya Tirumalagiri is one of the premiere Vidyalayas under Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and takes the pride of being one of the pioneer institutions in India.
The mission of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is
To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education;
To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education;
To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc.
To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indianness" among children.
To Provide, establish, endow, maintain, control & manage schools, hereinafter called the 'Kendriya Vidyalaya' for the children of transaferable employees of the Government of India, floating populations & others including those living in remote & undeveloped locations of the country & to do all acts & things necessary for the conducive to the promotions of such schools.

Since its inception, in 1963, a conducive atmosphere is being created to empower the students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of a dynamic global society. We aim for academic excellence of the students, to unlock the potential by identifying the barriers they experience in learning and assist them by removing the barriers so that they enjoy the learning process leading to the holistic development of the child. The school is well equipped with an excellent infrastructure which provides an ideal and safe environment for a joyful learning. We nurture in each student the unique combination of head, heart and humanity that respects their best self and inspire them to make an indelible and positive impact on this world.
The activities of the school are planned and prepared meticulously making education more meaningful and fruitful. (iii)National Standard Examination (NSE) conducted by IAPT which leads to International Olympiad examinations in Science

For primary students , we are in line with the guidelines as suggested by NIPUN BHARAT (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy)
